Bonk the Bucko!
A downloadable game
Bonk the Bucko! is a Game Boy game about bonking some cheeky buckos! Bonk as many buckos as you can within the time limit. If you bonk them fast enough you'll enter Frenzy mode and earn double points!
Controls
- Up/Down/Left/Right: Move hammer
- A/B: Bonk!
- Start: Select menu option
- Select: Return to menu
Note
Made for Bucko Jam 2024 using GBDK. Tested on SameBoy and Gambatte (libretro).
Sometimes the graphics glitch out, just return to the menu (Select) and it should fix itself. Or just play it with the broken graphics 🤷♂️
I didn't get around to adding sound, sadly.

Wild how smooth the animation looks in this. Good job.
Aaaaa so cute to have a lil gameboy game, its a really fun challenge to see how high of a score you can get! A game that makes my wrist hurt is the best kind hehehe. i love your digitization of the bonk emote and the beeeg stretched bucko for the bar during gameplay. The movement and controls were super smooth and fun too, very satisfying to play!
